About Dr. Kristi Kohl.
About Me
As a clinician, I aim to provide a warm, welcoming and supportive environment for all who walk through my door. I prioritize creating a space where clients feel empowered in advocacy and self-awareness of their unique set of gifts and growing edges. I take a holistic, collaborative, and individualized approach to both psychological assessment and therapy. I received my Doctorate of Psychology in 2020 from Roberts Wesleyan College and have since worked in K-12 special education, clinical practice and intensive outpatient treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder. I also work as an adjunct professor training future psychologists. I am currently taking a limited number of clients for psychological assessment on a referral only basis.
Experience
I have experience working with children, adolescents and adults therapeutically and in psychological assessment. I specialize in working with school-age children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and complex comorbid diagnoses. Additionally, I work with individuals with a wide range of mental health and behavioral needs. My school-based work has allowed me the opportunity to strengthen my work with families and help them support the strengths and needs of their child and the family dynamic as a whole.
